Apple has officially announced the date of its next big event, where we're likely to finally see watchOS2.
Slated for 9 September at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, the event promises to be big for the future of Apple Watch. While September is traditionally when Apple launches its next-generation of iPhone devices, this year it could be the Apple Watch that steals the show.

Apple unveiled the upcoming update to its watch software at WWDC in June 2015, which. The update brings with it a number of new features, most notable of which is native apps that can run independently of an iPhone version, and access elements of the Watch's hardware.
More watch face customisations are also on the way with the ability to add photos and time-lapse videos.

The watchOS 2 update will add nightstand mode, so you can lay your Apple Watch on its side and keep the time lit up throughout the night and users will be able to respond to emails from their wrist.
There are dozens more features coming with watchOS 2 and it is likely that Apple will announce the official release date for the software update at the 9 September event.
The event will take place at 10:00 A.M. PDT. You can watch the entire live stream from your computer via Safari web browser on Mac, the Edge on Windows 10, Apple TV 2 or 3, and iOS devices.
On a side note, MacRumors notes that, if you actually do ask Siri to give you a hint, the virtual assistant will respond with clever quips about 9 September. Give it a try.
