Technogym has announced that all of its cardio equipment will now play nice with the Apple Watch and its new GymKit feature, which was introduced through the company's watchOS 4.1 software update.
What that now means is that whether you have Technogym kit at home or you use it in the gym, you'll now be able to tap your Watch using the built-in NFC chip against its treadmills, ellipticals, indoor bikes and stair steppers to sync workout data.

That data includes active and total calories, distance, speed, floors climbed, incline and pace. So the idea here is that not only will your fitness data get recorded, the data recorded should be more accurate. So what you see at the end of your treadmill session will match what it says on your Apple Watch.
GymKit was announced back in June when Apple first revealed details of the integration in watchOS 4. Support started to roll out in November with GymKit support heading to equipment from the likes of Life Fitness and Matrix Fitness.
What better time to roll out a feature that's probably going to come in handy after you've stuffed your face over the festive period and need to burn off the calories in January.
