If the standard Fitbit Versa is still a bit too expensive for you, there's a pretty decent deal on the Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, which sees its price drop below $150.

You can pick up the Versa Lite Edition now for $147.30, which is down from $159.95. While that might just be a small saving of $12.65, that's the cheapest we've seen it for some time since its launch earlier this year.

The deal is currently only available on the white and silver aluminium model and unfortunately there aren't any similar deals on the standard Versa or the special edition of Fitbit's third smartwatch.

The big differences between the normal Versa and the Versa Lite Edition are that you're missing out on swim tracking, on-screen workouts and the built-in music player features. You also don't get Fitbit Pay support, which is actually only available on the special edition Versa.

You do though still get the same slim design and interchangeable straps. While it won't track your front crawl, it still does have the same waterproofing rating. You're still getting 24/7 activity tracking including some of the best sleep monitoring features you can find packed into a wearable. It will also track sports like running and cycling, but you'll need to piggyback off your phone's GPS to get mapping details in your workout summary.

There's an onboard heart rate monitor which unlocks additional features for sleep and workout tracking too. Away from health and fitness, you can download watch faces and apps from Fitbit's dedicated store and see a stream of your notifications from your Android smartphone or iPhone on the touchscreen display.

Despite the missing features, we still scored the Lite Edition a 4.5/5 score claiming it was Fitbit's best smartwatch yet. We praised it for taking the excellent Versa and streamlining into a more affordable package.

As with most of Amazon's discounts, it's not clear how long this deal will last. Be sure to snap it up on discount before it goes back up to its usual $159 price.
