If the new Vivoactive 4, Vivomove Series or new Venu don't take your fancy, Garmin has officially unveiled a pair of Marvel-themed smartwatches for those who prefer superheroes to athletic idols, as part of its Legacy Hero Series.

The two smartwatches look like they're inspired by the new Vivoactive 4's design, but even more so by Captain Marvel and Captain America respectively, two all-American heroes from Marvel's enormous range of Avengers and assorted other baddie-beaters. Each will have its own special experience in the Garmin Connect app to make the user experience fully heroic.

The Captain Marvel smartwatch is designed around Carol Danvers' signature colors of gold, blue and red, and packs in some lovely details. The back of the watch is engraved with her "Higher, further, faster" motto, and bespoke goal animations and watch faces make it even more unique. It comes in a 40mm size, with 7 days of battery life as standard.

The Captain America version, meanwhile, is more tactical in its looks, although it also features an engraving: "I can do this all day", which fans should recognize. It features a 45mm case, promises 8 days of battery life and has its own set of animations, faces and details to boot.

A full set of Garmin features are also packed into both watches, shared with the Vivoactive 4 and Venu watches, from health monitoring and pulse ox tracking for sleep cycles, to animated on-screen guidance for workouts, and optical heart rate tracking. The watches can also play offline music downloaded through Spotify, Amazon Music or Deezer, and of course have Garmin Pay built-in.

This isn't the first time Garmin has got all Marvel with its wearables. It previously launched its Vivofit Jr 2 fitness tracker for kids with a series of Marvel-themed designs.

The smartwatches are available now through Garmin as special editions, each priced at $339.99 if either take your fancy.
